Thorens TD124 MK2

bought this legendary deck and a Garrard 301 back in Jun2014.

given the opportunity to grab some of the parts so i decided to revive the TD124MK2 first ;-)

DIY to clean up the grease and residue on the main deck

prior to that the dirt all around this 40+yrs old player

also to play safe, I sent to Adrian to change the capacitors

is a MK2 with serial# 89881

lucky the roller still in good shape

the rubbers for the motor suspensions still providing good isolation for the motor with the main chassis

MK2 comes with the non-magnetic platter. quite heavy though

grabbed this original plinth. some scratches on the top and side. nothing much to complain given the price and age of this item

included the mushrooms but not the washer so i use similar rubber to cushion the rubbers

here the half-completed set... pending the armboard and the SME arm

will be continued...
